“Climate Change and Our Children” by Dr. Frederica Perera

Center director Dr. Frederica Perera wrote an op-ed that appeared in the Huffington Post about climate change and children’s health. Dr. Perera states that, in regards to climate change, “children are key to winning the argument and why action is needed now”. The article outlines the burden of disease caused by climate change and explains why children are particularly vulnerable. She concludes that “to be effective, prevention and adaptation strategies to climate change must be centered on the needs of our children — present and future”.
